Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a QA/QC Ultrasound Analyst for OB/MFM imaging. You will generate QA/QC reports, monitor performance metrics, and conduct audits to ensure compliance with standards and protocols.

You will collaborate with physicians, sonographers, and staff to standardize imaging practices, maintain data quality, and support continuous improvement in imaging workflows.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
• Provide safe and comfortable patient experience during studies.
• Create orders in the EMR and document patient records.
• Create sonographer reports in the reporting software.
• Enter requisite data and ensure timely completion of studies.
• Demonstrate thorough fetal anatomy surveys and Doppler assessments.

Responsibilities

• Generate, analyze, and distribute QA/QC reports for OB/MFM ultrasound.
• Monitor ultrasound study performance to meet standards.
• Audit OB and MFM imaging studies for completeness and accuracy.
• Identify variances and drive improvements; communicate with leadership.

Job Description:

• Generate, analyze, and distribute quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) reports for Obstetric and Maternal‑Fetal Medicine (MFM) ultrasound services.
• Monitor ultrasound study performance metrics to ensure compliance with departmental, organizational, and accreditation standards.
• Conduct routine audits of OB and MFM imaging studies to verify completeness, accuracy, documentation quality, and adherence to established protocols.
• Identify variances, trends, and opportunities for improvement in imaging quality and workflow processes; communicate findings to leadership and providers.
• Collaborate with physicians, sonographers, and clinical staff to support standardization of imaging practices and consistency across all OB/MFM studies.
• Maintain quality databases, tracking systems, and performance dashboards to support ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking, and comprehending English effectively to carry out job requirements [Required]

• Detailed fetal anatomic surveys [Required]
• Fetal Echocardiography [Required]
• Doppler assessment of arterial and venous blood vessels. [Required]
• Fetal growth assessments [Required]
• Transvaginal cervical length assessments [Required]
• Provide sonographic assistance for procedures (chorionic villus sampling, amniocentesis, cerclage) [Required]

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• Associate [Preferred]

Field of Study:

• Graduation from a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Work Experience:

• 3+ experience in OB/GYN sonography. [Required]
• Vascular experience as approved by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in OB/Gyn. [Required]
