Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa is seeking a qualified OB/MFM imaging QA/QC professional to generate and analyze QA/QC reports for obstetric ultrasound services. You will monitor study performance, conduct routine audits, and collaborate with physicians and staff to standardize imaging practices across OB/MFM studies.

The role includes maintaining quality databases and dashboards to support ongoing quality improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English to perform job requirements.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during the study.
• Create and edit orders in the EMR.
• Create patient records in the reporting system.
• Create sonographer reports in the reporting system and enter data.
• Demonstrate timeliness in study completion and documentation.
• Detailed fetal anatomic surveys.
• Fetal echocardiography.
• Doppler assessment of vessels.
• Fetal growth assessments.
• Transvaginal cervical length assessments.
• Provide sonographic assistance for procedures (e.g., chorionic villus sampling, amniocentesis, cerclage).

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Generate, analyze, and distribute quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) reports for Obstetric and Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) ultrasound services.
• Monitor ultrasound study performance metrics to ensure compliance with departmental, organizational, and accreditation standards.
• Conduct routine audits of OB and MFM imaging studies to verify completeness, accuracy, documentation quality, and adherence to established protocols.
• Identify variances, trends, and opportunities for improvement in imaging quality and workflow processes; communicate findings to leadership and providers.
• Collaborate with physicians, sonographers, and clinical staff to support standardization of imaging practices and consistency across all OB/MFM studies.
• Maintain quality databases, tracking systems, and performance dashboards to support ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

Field Of Study

• Graduation from a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Work Experience

• 3+ experience in OB/GYN sonography. [Required]
• Vascular experience as approved by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in OB/Gyn. [Required]
