People Experience at Sano:

The People Experience team aims to make Sano the place where people do the best work of their lives. We are building on strong foundations as we target Series B and transition from Start to Build.

This role will strengthen People Partnering at Sano and is critical to developing a high-performance culture. Previous experience supporting people leaders through this phase of organizational evolution is key. While our VP People, Lauren Gomes, is away, this position will report to Mina Frost, General Counsel.

Headlines:
  • Role: Lead People Partner [permanent, full-time]
  • Salary: £80,000 - 90,000 pa
  • Start Date: ASAP or during your notice period if more than 1 month
  • Location: UK only, fully remote (preferably within a day's commute to London)
What you'll be doing:
  • Steering Sano toward and through Series B, translating company strategy into a pragmatic people plan.
  • Being the trusted partner to your people leaders, advising on People strategies to drive team performance.
  • Leading workforce planning, including restructuring as needed.
  • Galvanising managers and leaders, coaching them to enable performance and collaboration.
  • Designing, delivering and embedding change initiatives across the employee lifecycle.
  • Using data insights (engagement, performance) to identify issues early, and implementing solutions.
  • Driving lifecycle moments with People Ops for seamless review cycles, compensation reviews, etc.
  • Advocating for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in all aspects of the people lifecycle.
  • Enabling cross-functional communication across Sano to improve remote ways of working.
This job is for you if you have:
  • Significant experience as a Senior People Partner supporting senior leaders during scale-up, especially in GTM or Engineering teams.
  • Proven success in designing and implementing company-wide People initiatives, such as Performance Enablement.
  • Boldness, clarity, and the ability to challenge with empathy; comfortable having tough conversations.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, building trust quickly.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage expectations, and set boundaries.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a proactive approach.
  • Comfort asking tough questions and negotiating effectively.
  • Data-driven mindset to support leadership decisions.
  • Knowledge of UK employment law, with adaptability for other regions like the USA.
Even better if you have:
  • Expertise in tech tools like HiBob, TeamTailor, Notion.
  • Experience with Agile practices in HR.

  • This is your first time in a scaling startup or during a transition phase.
  • This would be a transition or first-time People Partner role.
  • You lack confidence in communication.
