U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Lead Peer Specialist to guide a team of peer support staff across VA facilities. The role focuses on mentoring, coordination with supervisors, and delivering improved services to Veterans in recovery.

The position requires Veteran status, recovery experience, English proficiency, and adherence to Time-In-Grade rules. Telework may be authorized; standard hours are set by the supervisor.

Formación

• Must be a Veteran who meets statutory requirements.
• At least 1 year of recovery from a mental health condition or substance use disorder.
• SF-50 showing time-in-grade eligibility must be provided.
• Proficiency in basic written and spoken English.

Responsabilidades

• Leads a team of Peer Specialists, coordinating services within a common supervisory structure.
• Coaches and mentors peer staff, ensuring program goals and timelines.
• Acts as liaison between peer staff and supervisor to secure resources and decisions.
• Ensures delivery of high-quality, timely peer support services to Veterans.
