Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Peer Services Supervisor to oversee the Peer Recovery Team across MBH and MaineHealth sites. This role requires lived experience and a commitment to supporting peers and their clients, including direct supervision of staff and coordination with program managers and leadership.

The position emphasizes one-on-one and group peer support, supervision responsibilities, and collaboration across multiple locations, with travel to community venues as part of ongoing program

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, behavioral health, social work, special education, counseling, rehabilitation, nursing or closely related field is strongly preferred.
• Training with subsequent certification (Intentional Peer Support, Recovery Coach, Parent/Youth peer) and a valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Peer Support Specialists, Family Support Specialists, and/or Youth Support Specialists; handle hiring, timesheets, mileage reimbursement and workloads.
• Provide one-on-one and group peer support; facilitate sessions; collaborate with program managers and MBH leadership to resolve challenges.
• Travel as needed to support peers and build relationships across MaineHealth and the community.
