Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital is seeking a licensed pharmacist to oversee daily operations of the Phoenix Specialty Pharmacy, serving patients from neonate to adult. You will provide comprehensive patient-centered care, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and report to the Specialty Pharmacy Supervisor.

Applicants will collaborate with medical teams, train staff, and manage efficient workflows in an outpatient setting focused on pediatric specialty medications and quality care.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with current Arizona registration.
• Experience in outpatient or specialty pharmacy preferred.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage medication orders for age-appropriate therapy and safety.
• Verify entries in medication management systems to ensure patient safety.
• Provide clinical pharmacy recommendations to medical staff and other providers.
• Educate patients and caregivers about medications and therapies.
• Supervise technicians and coordinate daily workflow.
• Liaise with medical and nursing teams on medication management.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, standards and quality programs.
