Job summary

Belmont University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Physical Therapy. This tenure-track faculty position leads pediatric content within the entry-level DPT program and serves as a key contributor to teaching, mentoring, and scholarly activity.

The successful candidate will teach, advise students, participate in committee work, and engage with the Belmont community and local church.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and skill in pediatric Physical Therapy
• Demonstrated capacity to engage in high quality scholarly activity
• Ability to advise, instruct, manage, motivate and evaluate students
• Skilled in the use of computers, Internet resources, and MS Office software
• Ability to learn Canvas and BannerWeb
• Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning
• Professional interaction with students and staff
• Ability to work with diverse groups and design courses

Responsibilities

• Teach in the entry-level DPT program
• Advise and mentor students in research and class projects
• Engage in scholarly activity and professional development
• Participate in department and university committees
• Maintain office hours and manage online grading
• Support Belmont's mission and community involvement
• Complete 18 workload hours per academic year
• Engage with local church and community
