Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC, seeks an experienced Senior Ophthalmic Technician to support pediatric ophthalmology. You will perform visual fields, acuity testing, refraction, and advanced procedures, while maintaining equipment and coordinating with biomedical engineering.

You will oversee staff assignments across SZ Main Campus and regional centers, ensuring a smooth eye clinic workflow.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED; ophthalmic training preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in a pediatric ophthalmology setting.
• Retinoscopy, Goldmann and Humphrey perimetry, and OCT competency required.
• Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform visual fields and visual acuity testing, refraction, and related evaluations.
• Maintain inventory and ensure equipment is in top condition; coordinate repairs.
• Oversee assignment of technical staff to clinics and support staff training.
