Job summary

Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Principal PCB Design Engineer to lead complex board design for aerospace applications. You will drive architecture, layout, and vendor collaboration to deliver space‑qualified electronics.

You will mentor engineers, enforce design standards, and work across Electrical, Systems, and Manufacturing teams to meet performance, cost, and schedule goals. Strong Altium and high‑speed design skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of PCB design experience with multi‑layer, high‑reliability boards.
• Deep proficiency with ECAD tools (Altium Designer preferred).
• Expertise in high‑speed digital design, power distribution, RF, and signal/power integrity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical SME for PCB design including architecture, layout, and routing constraints.
• Lead design and execution of high‑density mixed‑signal boards for space applications.
• Collaborate with EE, Systems, Manufacturing, and Reliability teams to meet performance, cost, and schedule targets.
• Drive design reviews (schematic, layout, DFM/DFA) and enforce PCB standards across the team.
• Mentor team members and lead cross‑functional design decisions.
• Manage vendor interactions for fabrication and assembly, including stackups.
