Job summary

APAC Alabama, Inc., part of CRH's South Division, is seeking a Paving Superintendent to oversee asphalt paving crews on highway, street, and parking lot projects in Montgomery, AL. You will supervise crews, coordinate training, and ensure safety and quality on site.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of paving experience, the ability to read plans and specs, and flexible hours including some nights or weekends. Strong organization and communication skills are essential for on-site leadership.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of related asphalt and paving experience or an equivalent combination of education and training.
• Ability to read/comprehend plans and specifications.
• Flexible working schedule to include days, nights, or weekends as needed.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety of crew members and the public who may interact with job.
• Coordinating ongoing training of Foremen and crew members.
• Calculating resources to achieve production targets based on vehicle capacity and conditions.
• Touring job sites to monitor progress and verify contract compliance.
• Supervising and coordinating crew activities and estimating work requirements.
• Maintaining time and materials records and daily job costing.
