Qualifications

  • High School Graduate with 5 years of healthcare payments experience.
  • Associate degree in Business or Healthcare Administration, or active enrollment in such program.
  • Epic training within 6 months of hire for users.
  • 5+ years in payment posting, claims, denials, or billing and 3+ years in a lead role.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations in Patient Financial Services (clinical trials, payment posting, refunds, denials, insurance follow up, or patient service).
  • Provide leadership presence and model expected behavior.
  • Review daily work queues, prioritize workload, analyze reports, and drive process improvements.
  • Manage operational and staffing budgets.
  • Lead HR activities: interviewing, training, performance reviews and policy development.
  • Ensure policy adherence and staff education on changes.
  • Generate regular department reports and communicate trends to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with governmental and managed care regulations.
