Job summary

Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH, is seeking a Lead Patient Care Technician to join our nursing team. You will deliver hands-on patient care, assist with advanced procedures, and guide and mentor both new and experienced patient care tech staff.

Your role includes assisting with ADLs, taking vitals, documenting care, and promoting a safe, clean environment while supporting the nursing team with timely communications and updates.

Qualifications

  • CNA certification or equivalence required.
  • Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility, monitor vitals and comfort.
  • Document care and communicate updates to nursing staff for coordinated care.
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment and prepare equipment and supplies.
  • Respond to patient needs and provide compassionate communication.
  • Train new team members on policies and quality initiatives.
  • Perform phlebotomy and EKGs.
  • Coordinate scheduling of tests and appointments.
  • Prepare chart paperwork.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Lead Patient Care Tech, you’ll be an integral part of the nursing team, delivering compassionate care that impacts patients’ lives every day. You’ll provide hands‑on patient care, assist with advanced procedures, and help guide and mentor and support the growth of new and experienced patient care tech staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting patients with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), supporting mobility and comfort, checking vital signs, collecting specimens, preparing for procedures, and monitoring telemetry as needed
  • Documenting patient care accurately and communicating important updates to the nursing team to ensure coordinated, timely care
  • Helping maintain a safe, clean environment by following infection prevention practices, setting up and caring for equipment, and ensuring needed supplies are ready
  • Responding to patient needs through regular rounding and compassionate communication to promote comfort and trust
  • Training new team members, sharing updates on policies and quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient care
  • Phlebotomy
  • Performing EKGs
  • Computer Scheduling of tests and appointments
  • Prepping chart paperwork
What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (CNA) Certified Nursing Assistant
  • High School Graduate / GED
