Job summary

TriStar Summit Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Lead Patient Care Tech to lead hands-on patient care, mentor staff, and support nursing teams in delivering compassionate care daily.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, monitoring telemetry, documenting care, maintaining infection prevention, and guiding new hires. This role requires acute care experience and leadership, with CPR/BLS certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Acute patient care experience is required.
• Prior lead or supervisory experience is preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

• Document patient care accurately and communicate important updates to the nursing team to ensure coordinated, timely care.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment by following infection prevention practices, setting up and caring for equipment, and ensuring needed supplies are ready.
• Respond to patient needs through regular rounding and compassionate communication to promote comfort and trust.
• Train new team members, sharing updates on policies and quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient care.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Lead Patient Care Tech, you’ll be an integral part of the nursing team, delivering compassionate care that impacts patients’ lives every day. You’ll provide hands‑on patient care, assist with advanced procedures, and help guide and mentor and support the growth of new and experienced patient care tech staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting patients with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), supporting mobility and comfort, checking vital signs, collecting specimens, preparing for procedures, and monitoring telemetry as needed
• Documenting patient care accurately and communicating important updates to the nursing team to ensure coordinated, timely care

What qualifications you will need:
