Job summary

McLeod Health is seeking a registered nurse to perform patient care management duties, coordinate care during the assigned shift, and maintain open communication within the team.

The role requires an Associates Degree in Nursing, RN licensure, and ACLS/NRP/BLS certifications with a plan to obtain ACLS within six months of hire. Full-time schedule, 80 hours bi-weekly, at an McLeod Health facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• Advanced Resuscitative Certification appropriate to patient population required within 6 months of hire into the position.

Responsibilities

• Care management duties including development and evaluation, performance improvement and staffing patterns during the assigned shift, and coordinating patient care activities to optimize the work environment.
• Assess patient needs based on history, examination and diagnostic data, providing age-appropriate nursing interventions.
• Supervise and ensure use of appropriate health and safety equipment for patients and staff.
• Participate in managing fiscal responsibility of the unit.
• Utilize standard work related to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
