Job summary

Maryhaven in Columbus, OH seeks a Lead Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for Homeless Services. This full-time role oversees PCA hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation under the Manager of Homeless Programs.

It also manages staff scheduling and participates in after-hours on-call tasks to ensure coverage. The Lead PCA helps maintain safety and program rules at the Engagement Center, supporting the organization’s mission to assist individuals facing homelessness and related behavioral health

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field; preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; required.
• Supervisory experience; required.
• Training and certification in law enforcement, correctional or security environments; preferred.
• Minimum three years' experience in related field; preferred (homelessness, mental health, substance abuse, corrections).
• CDCA or equivalent; preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate all PCA's in the program.
• Maintain staff schedules to ensure appropriate shift coverage.
• Participate in on-call after hours.
• Help facilitate the safety, maintenance, and rules of the Engagement Center.

Under the supervision of the Manager of Homeless Programs, the Lead Patient Care Assistant (PCA) will hire, train, supervise, and evaluate all PCA's in the program, and will maintain staff schedule to ensure appropriate shift coverage. The Lead PCA will become proficient in all PCA tasks to ensure staff are properly trained. The Lead PCA will participate in on-call after hours. The PCA will help facilitate the safety, maintenance, and rules of the Engagement Center.
