Job summary

Providence is seeking a Lead Patient Admissions Coordinator for the Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX. This full-time role covers the evening shift (3:30pm–12:00am) onsite, overseeing admissions staff and ensuring smooth patient flow from registration through initial coverage.

You will drive staff productivity and quality, address issues promptly, and promote a positive patient experience aligned with Providence's mission to provide compassionate, whole-person care to diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in healthcare or business administration or equivalent experience.
• Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association upon hire.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) upon hire.
• Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) upon hire.
• 6 months of familiarity with basic financial clearance functions.
• 3 years of supervisory experience in outpatient registration or related healthcare experience.
• 1 year of knowledge of Epic applications.
• 6 months coursework in team building, facilitating teams, process improvement, conflict resolution.
• Experience with MEDITECH system.

This individual is responsible for the day-to-day staff management, identification of issues with resolution, and staff quality/productivity measures. This position is responsible for promoting a positive patient experience and ensuring patient satisfaction.

This position works Monday through Friday, from 3:30pm to 12:00pm.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in healthcare or business administration, or equivalent educ/experience
