Job summary

Providence is seeking a Patient Admissions Coordinator to join our team onsite in Texas for evening shifts. You will assist patients during on-site registration, collect demographic and insurance information, and complete financial clearance for scheduled and unscheduled visits.

You will greet patients professionally, ensure compliance, and document information accurately. Experience in patient access, insurance eligibility systems, medical terminology, and Epic Applications is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
• 3 years experience in Patient Access or related with insurance eligibility systems.
• 3 years of medical terminology usage in job setting.
• Knowledge of medical billing codes.
• 1 year experience with Epic Applications.

Responsibilities

Providence is calling for Patient Admissions Coordinator - Full time, Evening, Onsite

Under the direction of the PAS supervisor/manager, the Patient Access Representative is responsible for assisting patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits as well as completing financial clearance functions. This individual completes the registration for unscheduled visits by collecting accurate demographic information, insurance information, and collecting patient liability (if known) at the time of service. This individual is also responsible for financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts. The Patient Access Representative greets and serves patients in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner to promote positive encounters. All information is gathered while adhering to regulation and compliance requirements and guidelines and is documented timely and accurately.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree Healthcare or Business Administration.
