Position Summary
As the Patient Account Service Representative Team Lead, your role involves overseeing the team of Patient Account Service Representatives, ensuring the smooth operation of the PASR department, and aligning our efforts with Dental Depot's business objectives. Your responsibilities include the vital task of training and developing your team members, as well as using conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques to address patient billing inquiries and complaints, managing outstanding claims, electronic fund transfers, Medicaid, and other matters as assigned by the Manager of Patient Account Services.

- Oversees the Patient Account Service Representatives team.
- Conducts office supply ordering for Executive Office.
- Provides financial, clerical, and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate patient billing and follow-up in accordance with Dental Depot accounts receivable protocol.
- Provides quality customer service, utilizing conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques to manage patient inquiries and complaints.
- Prepares weekly outstanding claims reports.
- Communicates effectively, courteously, and professionally with clinical and administrative staff.
- Communicates effectively, courteously, and accurately with patients inquiring about statements, billing, payments, etc.
- Audits patient accounts for billing errors or inconsistencies.
- Handles monthly statement calls.
- Works to resolve claim issues by appealing denied claims, and sending corrected claims as needed.
- Maintains all refund requests issued from the insurance company to be processed for approval.
- Complies with: Dental Depot policies and procedures; OSHA policies, procedures, rules, and regulations; and HIPAA policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- This position may complete other Administrative and Maintenance tasks as assigned by Management.

Qualifications
Education:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Experience:
- 3 plus years of dental experience required – Must display strong knowledge of dental terminology, coding, and dental billing practices. Previous Management experience preferred. Experience with multidivisional companies preferred.
Computer Skills:
- Microsoft Suite of Services; QuickBooks; Other accounting and reporting software.
Other Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license, proof of valid vehicle insurance and must have annual Motor Vehicle Record Check, as a condition of employment if employee operates any Company owned vehicles or drives their own personal vehicle for Company business purposes. Must be able to manage multiple phone lines

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, body fluids, blood borne pathogens, and the risk of radiation. The noise level is usually moderate. As the dental practice is heavily dependent on scheduling, the general environment can become hectic at times. Therefore, the employee must be able to handle effectively the normal anxieties associated with the job.
