Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and completion of an accredited Pathologist’s Assistant program.
• Pathologist Assistant certification preferred to support autopsy and tissue examinations.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills required for supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical and autopsy specimens for microscopic examination and document gross descriptions.
• Oversee daily operation of the Pathology Surgical Suite and ensure workflow efficiency.
• Supervise section staff, train residents and medical students, and provide direction as needed.
• Perform gross dissection, fix, cut, photo, and section specimens including frozen sections.
• Develop and monitor section procedures and ensure regulatory compliance.
