Job summary

Phlow Corp in Virginia is seeking a Senior Scientist, PAT to lead development of Process Analytical Technology methods for APIs and continuous flow processes. You will design, validate, and implement at-line PAT models and analytical methods, collaborating across process development and manufacturing teams.

You will collect data, build chemometric models, mentor staff, and drive improvements in laboratory operations while contributing to tech transfer and quality systems.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in chemistry or related field with FDA-regulated experience preferred.
• 1-3 years in analytical method development/validation for API or drug product.
• Experience with common analytical techniques (HPLC, LC/MS, GC/GC-MS, NMR, UV).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate PAT methods and at-line/in-line models for batch and continuous processes.
• Provide analytical support to process development groups and manufacturing partners.
• Lead data analysis, chemometric modeling, and method troubleshooting.
• Mentor lab staff and share expertise across the team.
• Support technology transfer and establish Quality systems in the laboratory.
