Oasis at Rita Ranch in Tucson, AZ seeks a Lead Pastor to guide the congregation in biblical preaching, pastoral care, discipleship, prayer, and strong team-building. The role centers on spiritual leadership, planning services, and building missional presence in the community through home churches and outreach.

The candidate should have ministry leadership experience, a Master of Divinity, and a heart for people, with a willingness to engage in organizational governance and staff development.

Qualifications

• Provide spiritual leadership and biblical guidance.
• Develop and deliver engaging Bible-based messages.
• Plan and lead services with worship team.
• Provide pastoral care, including biblical counseling.
• Foster home churches and one-on-one discipleship.
• Oversee staff via supervision of the ministry director.
• Build relationships within the local community.
• Oversee church operations, budgeting and personnel.
• Develop leadership and a positive, collaborative work environment.
• Perform weddings, funerals, baptisms, and dedications.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual leadership and biblical guidance to the congregation.
• Develop and deliver engaging, Bible-based messages during worship services and special events.
• Plan and lead services, collaborating with the worship team to ensure services are meaningful and spiritually enriching.
• Provide pastoral care for members of the congregation, including biblical counseling, visiting the sick, and offering support in crises.
• Facilitate and encourage spiritual growth through home churches and one-on-one discipleship.
• Oversee staff by supervising the ministry director, who directly supervises staff members.
• Build relationships within the local community and participate in missional activities.
• Oversee the administration and management of church operations, including budgeting, financial planning, and personnel management.
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment with robust leadership development.
• Perform other pastoral duties, including weddings, funerals, baptisms, and dedications.
