Job summary

Northside Christian Church in Georgia is seeking a Lead Pastor who is Christ-centered, Bible-believing, and passionate about helping others grow into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. The pastor will faithfully preach God’s Word, lead with humility and conviction, and guide the church as it pursues God’s mission in the community.

Qualifications

• A vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Clear calling to pastoral ministry.
• Strong commitment to the authority and teaching of Scripture.
• Excellent preaching and communication skills.
• A shepherd’s heart that values relationships, compassion, and servant leadership.
• The ability to lead with both conviction and humility.
• Experience developing leaders and working collaboratively with elders, staff, and volunteers.
• A heart for discipleship, outreach, and helping people mature in their faith.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver biblically faithful, practical sermons each Sunday.
• Provide biblical teaching through classes, small groups, and discipleship opportunities.
• Offer pastoral care through counseling, hospital visitation, crisis ministry, weddings, funerals, and member encouragement.
• Cast vision for the future of the church and lead the congregation toward that vision in partnership with the elders.
• Supervise and encourage a staff of three employees while fostering a healthy and unified ministry team.
• Work alongside elders and ministry leaders to strengthen every area of church life.
• Equip members to discover and use their spiritual gifts in ministry.
• Represent the church in the local community while encouraging evangelism and outreach.
• Provide administrative leadership appropriate for a congregation of our size.
