Qualifications

• Seminary education/degree desirable.
• Credentialed and licensed by the CMA preferred, willingness to obtain.
• 5+ years of pastoral experience, preferably as a lead pastor.
• Demonstrated commitment to discipleship and spiritual growth within the local church.
• Uses the Bible as the complete and inerrant authority when preaching and teaching.
• Makes relevant application between scripture and life situations.
• Understanding of the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer.
• Sacrificially serves others with joy and compassion.
• Seeks to understand and develop spiritual gifts of church members.
• Prayer for the church and its members is vital.
• Gets to know members personally and provides timely care.
• Willingness to visit members as needed.
• Mentors others in following Christ and discipling ministries.
• Ability to edify others in their spiritual giftings and lead in education styles.
• Organized and able to manage administrative details.
• Experience with leading and assisting in children’s and youth ministries.
• Knowledge of all educational styles (public, homeschool, private).
• Ability to lead others through and address conflict.

Responsibilities

• Lead pastoral and discipleship ministries within the congregation.
• Preach/teach Biblically to apply scripture to life.
• Care for church members through visitation and counseling.
• Mentor and develop discipling and mentoring programs.
• Work with families and youth ministries to foster growth.
• Foster servant leadership and spiritual gifts within the body.
• Engage in community outreach and church events.
• Address conflict and provide pastoral care as needed.
