Tri-City Baptist Church in Parkersburg, West Virginia is seeking a Lead Pastor to shepherd the congregation as the current pastor retires after 35 years of ministry. The Lead Pastor will serve as primary preaching and teaching pastor and work with a plurality of elders in an elder-led congregational framework.

Candidates should meet biblical elder qualifications, be ordained for gospel ministry, have pastoral experience, and demonstrate gifting in expositional preaching and shepherding heart.

Qualifications

• Must meet biblical elder qualifications (1 Timothy 3; Titus 1).
• Fully agree with TCBC statement of faith and be ordained for gospel ministry.
• Proven pastoral experience with gifting in preaching and teaching.
• Shepherd's heart and compassionate leadership.

Lead Pastor Opening: Tri-City Baptist Church, Parkersburg, WV

Tri-City Baptist Church (TCBC), an independent, Reformed Baptist congregation in Parkersburg, WV, is seeking a Lead Pastor. Our current pastor, who has served TCBC for 35 years, will resign upon the calling of his successor.

Doctrine and Polity:

The TCBC Statement of Faith is based primarily on the 1853 New Hampshire Confession of Faith. We are committed to the authority and sufficiency of Scripture, expositional preaching, and the doctrines of grace. We practice elder-led congregationalism, with congregational rule under the leadership of a plurality of elders. The Lead Pastor serves as the primary preaching and teaching pastor and as first among equals with our other elders.

Qualifications:

The candidate must meet the biblical qualifications for an elder (1 Timothy 3 & Titus 1), fully agree with the TCBC statement of faith, be ordained to gospel service, and have previous pastoral experience. He should have demonstrated gifting in expositional preaching and teaching, and a shepherd's heart
