Job summary

Epworth Family Church in Alabama seeks a pastor to lovingly shepherd our church family and faithfully lead us according to God’s Word. The candidate should love the Lord, preach biblically sound sermons, provide pastoral care, and lead with humility and wisdom.

This role may be full-time or bi-vocational; salary is negotiable based on experience and availability. The pastor will lead worship, oversee ministries, represent the church in the community, and work with the Administrative Board to set

Responsibilities

• Preach and teach the Word of God; lead worship services.
• Administer sacraments and ordinances.
• Provide spiritual guidance, counseling, and pastoral care to individuals and families.
• Lead the congregation in prayer, discipleship, and spiritual growth.
• Officiate weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other ceremonies.
• Define vision and ministry direction in alignment with biblical principles.
• Collaborate with the Administrative Board on strategic planning and decisions.
• Collaborate with church staff and oversee day-to-day ministry operations.
• Represent the church in the community and promote outreach and evangelism.
• Demonstrate a Christ-centered lifestyle and ongoing personal and professional growth.
• Address the Administrative Board twice yearly with progress reports.

Position Information

This position may be full-time or bi-vocational.

Salary is negotiable based on experience and availability.

Responsibilities

1. Preaching and teaching the Word of God and leading worship services.
2. Administering the sacraments and ordinances of the church.
3. Providing spiritual guidance, counseling, and pastoral care to individuals and families.
4. Leading the congregation in prayer, discipleship, and spiritual growth.
5. Officiating weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other ceremonies in alignment with the church’s Statement of Faith.
6. Defining the vision and setting ministry direction in alignment with biblical principles.
7. Collaborating with the Administrative Board on strategic planning and decision-making.
8. Collaborating with church staff and overseeing day-to-day ministry operations.
9. Representing the church in the community and promoting outreach and evangelism.
10. Demonstrating a Christ-centered lifestyle and ongoing personal and professional growth.
11. Address the administrative board twice yearly with a progress report on new membership and his expectation and vision for the church.
