Job summary

Northwest Chapel is seeking a Lead Pastor who has been set apart to devote time to the ministry of the Word and to direct the church's staff and ministries. In harmony with the board and elders, the Lead Pastor provides spiritual and administrative leadership to the congregation.

He equips the people for gospel work, empowers the church community to use their gifts, and leads in line with Scripture to fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.

Job description

Northwest Chapel's Lead Pastor is one who has been specifically set apart in order that he might devote his time to the ministry of the Word and the direction of the church's staff and ministries. Under God's guidance and in harmony with the other elders of Northwest Chapel, the Lead pastor provides spiritual and administrative leadership to the church. He equips the people of Northwest Chapel for the work of the gospel (Ephesians 4:11-16), empowers the church community to use their giftedness, and follows Christ's direction to fulfill the great commandment (Luke 10:27) and the great commission (Matthew 28:19-20).

The Lead pastor sets the direction for the ministries, discipleship, and congregational activities in collaboration with the other elders and pastoral staff. He is a Spirit-dependent and Spirit-led shepherd (Philippians 2:5, 1 Peter 5:1-4) capable of coaching and developing other staff.
