Position Summary:
Responsible for delivering and overseeing the quality of traditional day and night paramedic courses. Duties include teaching EMS courses, developing syllabi, maintaining records, recruiting and advising students, and preparing reports. Must meet NC Office of EMS and CoAEMSP standards to be designated as a Lead Instructor.
Required Education and Experience:
Associate Degree in EMS or related field, NC credentialed Level I EMS Instructor, NC Paramedic certification, at least 3 years of field experience, 1 year of teaching experience, knowledge of NCOEMS and CoAEMSP requirements.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
NC and National Registry Paramedic certification, Bachelor's Degree, NC Credentialed Level II EMS Instructor, instructor certifications (PALS, ACLS, BCLS, PHTLS), 5 years teaching experience, online teaching experience, familiarity with clinical tracking tools.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication, commitment to student success, detail-oriented, strong partnership skills, willingness to participate in college activities.
