Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Pass Physical Agility Test (PAT).
• Kansas Paramedic certification or eligible for Kansas Paramedic certification.
• Valid state driver''s license and driving record compliant with policy.
• BLS and ACLS will be provided if not already certified.
• PALS and NALS required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while following Paramedic protocols.
• Use Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids).
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage the scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
