Solid Rock Recruiting, LLC. is assisting a long-established Dallas–Fort Worth-based commercial painting contractor in the search for a Lead Commercial Paint Estimator.

The role demands hands-on estimating with leadership influence and a track record of profitable projects across private sector work. The candidate will perform takeoffs, review plans, submit bids, manage multiple estimates, and mentor junior staff.

Formación

• Minimum five years of commercial painting estimating experience.
• Proficient in OST and solid understanding of commercial paint scopes.
• Ability to estimate projects ranging from small commercial work to multi-million-dollar jobs.

Responsabilidades

• Perform detailed, accurate takeoffs using On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and prepare professional proposals.
• Review plans, specifications, and project documents; request clarifications from GCs and project managers as needed.
• Submit bids, follow up with clients, and communicate effectively throughout the bidding process.
• Manage multiple estimates at once and maintain organized tracking through internal tools.
• Collaborate with the owner and team regarding cost structures, production assumptions, and bid strategy.
• Provide guidance to junior estimators; the ability to train and mentor is a strong plus.
• Participate in occasional working sessions or demonstrations of estimating capability.

Lead Commercial Paint Estimator

Dallas–Fort Worth, TX | Full-Time | Commercial Painting Contractor

We are working with a long-established commercial painting contractor in the Dallas–Fort Worth market that is looking to add a Lead Commercial Paint Estimator to its team. This organization has been in business for more than three decades and has built a strong reputation with general contractors, owners, and repeat clients across the private sector. They are stable, respected, and growing, and they need an experienced estimator who can step in and make an impact immediately.

This is a hands-on estimating role with leadership influence. The company typically runs two to three estimators, and the right person will be instrumental in setting standards, improving processes, and helping the team win profitable work. This is not a back-room, isolated position. They are looking for someone who can perform accurate commercial paint takeoffs, communicate effectively with construction partners, and help drive awarded projects.

About the Work

Projects include a wide range of commercial applications such as warehouses, hotels, churches, big-box retail, private-sector remodels, and various mid-size commercial buildings. The company does very little in the way of public-sector, university, or government work and focuses almost exclusively on private commercial construction.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong communication skills and the confidence to speak directly with GCs and clients.

• Ability to produce complete, accurate takeoffs independently.

• Leadership-oriented mindset and interest in contributing to a high-performing estimating team.

• Stable work history and a record of strong performance in commercial paint estimating.
