Job summary

ExecuSource is seeking a Packaging Specifications Manager in Smithfield, VA to lead packaging specification processes, data governance, and compliance. You will partner with engineering, operations, quality, sales, and customer teams to ensure alignment with customer and regulatory needs.

The role requires a bachelor’s in packaging engineering (or related field) and 5+ years of relevant experience, plus 2+ years of leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience.
• 2+ years of team leadership, development, or project leadership.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, processes, and specifications.
• Experience with Specright, SAP or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with customer and regulatory systems such as e-halo or EPR.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain packaging specifications, data, and related systems.
• Ensure packaging meets customer, regulatory, and sustainability requirements.
• Partner cross-functionally on packaging development, plant trials, and commercialization.
• Lead projects and provide guidance to packaging specification staff.
