Job Description: Lead Packaging Operator at TALKE

Summary
Ensure safe and smooth production, assign staff to stations, troubleshoot packaging line issues, follow quality protocols, and maintain good housekeeping in the building and production areas.

Job Tasks

Beginning of shift:

  • Perform HCP checks on all lines, regardless of operation status.
  • Clean printheads and inkjet tubes if needed.
  • Replace glue rollers with clean ones.
  • Verify correct printing on bags with the board operator.
  • Ensure all bagging machines run at 2000 bags/hour.
  • Sign off handover logs; report damaged radios or tablets.
  • Clean and blow out weighing scale FFS.

During shift:

  • Maintain housekeeping of all lines and areas.
  • Store housekeeping tools properly.
  • Assist troubleshooting and parameter adjustments.
  • Prepare rolls for changeovers.
  • Conduct hourly quality checks.
  • Rotate Teflon every 4 hours.
  • Verify printing and labeling accuracy.
  • Manage scrap disposal correctly.
  • Ensure pallets are issue-free before shift end.
  • Follow up on LPSA and setup for GRADE changes.
  • Verify bag flattener setup and proper guide separator placement.
  • Minimize scrap generation.
  • Pack, weigh, label, and store completed items.
  • Follow packaging guidelines and dispose of defective items properly.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
