Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking a Lead Night Supervisor for its Pennsylvania Children’s Services. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with at least twelve credits hours in a human services related discipline including psychology, sociology, social work, education, or related fields.
  • Two years supervisory experience required.
  • Experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities or behavioral disorders preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

Every day as a Lead Night Supervisor you will....

  • Ensure the safety, well being, and accountability of all children in our care

  • Provide primary “first-line” supervision for staff and students during assigned shift

  • Provide crisis prevention and intervention support, guidance, and feedback to direct reports

  • Participate in the orientation of new employees and provides ongoing employee training.

  • Communicate with program leaders daily

You will be offered:

  • Compensation: $49,140 /yr. - $56,019.60 /yr. (based on experience)

  • Schedule:10pm-8am; Every other weekend [40hrs weekly]

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services psychiatric residential treatment program provides a rich, evolving continuum of 24-hour, out-of-home residential services for children and adolescents living with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences. A team of caring, talented staff is dedicated to helping each individual achieve social, emotional, behavioral and educational goals, and return home to their local communities. Our residential programs provide each child, and their families, with the skills and resources needed to reach the greatest level of personal happiness and success.

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) serves children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives. A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS), a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors, and prevents negative behaviors, to create safe, supportive living environments. Each year, more than 1,000 children and adolescents receive specialized care, in the environment best suited to the unique challenges they face, all with the goal of providing each child with the academic, social, emotional and life skills needed to flourish in their home community.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree from an accredited college with at least twelve credits hours in a human services required discipline toinclude but not limited to psychology, sociology, social work, education, pastoral counseling, political science, heath, recreation,criminal justice, counseling.

EXPERIENCE: Two years supervisory experience required. Two years experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavioraldisorders.Strong organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires ability to work independently,prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines.

Valid driver's license must be maintained.
