Job summary

Vortex Doors is seeking a seasoned technician to install, service, and maintain commercial and industrial doors, dock equipment, and access hardware in California. You will diagnose issues with springs, hinges, locks, operators, and electrical components, and perform routine and advanced repairs—all while ensuring safety and quality standards.

You’ll communicate clearly with customers, document work orders, and help train others in door systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in commercial door service.
• AAADM certification is a plus.
• Fluent with hand/power tools and tape-measure accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair sectional, rolling steel, storefront, and specialty doors; dock equipment and related hardware.
