What you'll do
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair sectional, rolling steel, storefront, and specialty doors - plus dock equipment and related hardware.
- Diagnose issues with springs, hinges, locks, operators, and electrical/low-voltage components; perform routine and advanced repairs.
- Set up locks, closers, handles, and access control systems to spec.
- Confirm every installation meets building codes and safety standards.
- Communicate clearly with customers: explain findings, outline options, and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Document service calls, repairs, and installations accurately.
- Perform final quality checks that reflect Vortex's high bar for workmanship.

Schedule and environment
- Full-time between 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday; overtime and on-call as needed.
- Fast-moving, results-driven atmosphere with continuous training and support.
- Valid driver license required; you'll operate a company vehicle.
Compensation
Salary: $26.00/hr. - $32.00/hr.Preferred Proficiencies
