Job summary

3M is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Technology System Specialist to strengthen security, reliability, and scalability of manufacturing technology environments. You will design secure OT architectures, engineer resilient infrastructure, and develop standardized software approaches deployed across global sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field.
• PE license or advanced credentials or equivalent demonstrated leadership.
• 15 years in industrial controls, automation, OT environments.
• 8 years in OT security architecture and secure remote access.
• Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Design secure OT architectures and defense-in-depth controls for manufacturing environments.
• Engineer resilient OT infrastructure: compute, virtualization, networking, backups, power, recovery.
• Develop standardized industrial software architectures, templates and naming conventions for deployment across sites.
• Evaluate IoT/IIoT components, devices, firmware, and secure interfaces.
• Translate OT security and regulatory requirements into executable designs and governance.
• Mentor technical teams and establish standards for consistency and long-term sustainability.
