Job summary

Nashville General Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to serve as circulator in the operating room and to act as a Service Leader for a specialty.

You will coordinate pre-operative and intra-operative care, assist physicians, manage equipment and supplies, and apply age-appropriate nursing care for adults and geriatrics. A Tennessee RN license and BLS are required, ACLS preferred, and one year OR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program (BSN preferred).
• Active RN license to practice in Tennessee; BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate as circulator in pre-operative and intra-operative procedures.
• Assist physicians and communicate patient status; respond to emergencies.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; ensure safe and clean work area.
• Apply age-related factors to care for adults and geriatrics.
• Document nursing assessments and interventions; discharge planning as needed.
