Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems division in Chandler, AZ seeks a Sr. Principal Optical Subsystem I&T Engineer to lead electro-optical integration and testing for the Seeker IPT.

The role requires coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, developing test plans, and delivering validated results for high-reliability EO systems. The candidate should have a strong background in optical design, alignment, and test with DoD experience, and be ready to mentor others while ensuring compliance with safety

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years experience or MS with 6+ years or PhD with 4+ years in related field.
• Active DoD Secret clearance at time of application.
• Experience with EO imaging systems (visible to LWIR) including optical design and test.

Aufgaben

• Lead multidisciplinary teams in the integration and testing of electro-optical subsystems to ensure top-tier performance.
• Develop, author, and review test plans, procedures, and test cases based on system requirements.
• Oversee hardware, software, and firmware integration ensuring interoperability and timelines.
• Execute and troubleshoot complex tests, analyze data, and verify performance.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers; drive RCCA and continuous improvement.
• Prepare test reports summarizing observations, configurations, and results.
