Job summary

Dhaka Technologies Limited is seeking a Lead Optical Engineer to design, analyze, and develop advanced optical and electro-optical systems for aerospace/defense. The role focuses on stray light control, non-sequential evaluation, and performance verification for space-based payloads.

The ideal candidate has strong optical engineering experience across design, test, and verification, with hands-on metrology skills and proficiency in MATLAB/Python scripting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7 years of related experience.
• 2 years of experience with optical stray light analysis tools such as FRED.
• Ability to obtain a federal security clearance.
• Hands-on experience with optical metrology equipment (interferometers, autocollimators, laser trackers).
• Experience with space-based EO/IR subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Perform stray light analysis and develop control and mitigation strategies for optical systems.
• Identify stray light sources and assess their impact on optical performance.
• Build and maintain optical system models and non-sequential evaluation.
• Conduct optical performance and radiometric analysis for imaging payloads.
• Support design, integration, test, and qualification of space-based EO/IR subsystems.
• Utilize optical metrology tools during test and verification, and develop analysis scripts in MATLAB and Python.
