Job summary
Quantinuum in Broomfield, CO seeks a Lead Optical Engineer to advance metasurface and photonic system development for quantum computing. You will work with a team of physicists, optical and opto-mechanical engineers to create and optimize light-delivery systems for next-generation quantum computers.
The role requires a PhD or Master’s in a related field and 8+ years in optical design, with expertise in Zemax, Code V and DOEs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree minimum.
- 8+ years’ experience with optical design of refractive, reflective, diffractive, photonics components and systems.
- U.S. Person per contract requirements: citizen, permanent resident or Green Card holder; certain nationalities restricted by government rules.
Responsibilities
- Participate in a team of physicists, optical, and opto-mechanical engineers supporting quantum computing systems.
- Test, assemble, and develop metasurface components, lenses, micro-optical and photonic systems; deliver and measure light in quantum computer systems.
- Lead development and design projects that validate technologies, methods, alignment, and suppliers for production solutions.
