Job summary

The candidate analyzes plant data, reads work instructions, and collaborates with leadership to drive improvements while maintaining safety and production standards on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Must have 3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong math and reading skills.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
• Excellent communication between production floor and departments.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble structural items such as racks per job order or verbal instructions.
• Verify conformance of work piece to specifications using square, ruler, and measuring tape.
• Analyze data and observe plant activities to identify problem issues.
• Read and understand work instructions.
• Proficient in math and reading skills.
• Capable of understanding plant metrics and objectives.
• Use or learn Time Studies, Yamazumi Charts and 5 Why Analysis to pinpoint problems.
• Work with department leadership to implement improvement activities.
• Communicate clearly between production floor and related departments.

Description

SUMMARY:

Fabricates and assembles structural products such as racks for manufacturing parts according to job order or verbal instructions. Also helps with kaizen activities such gathering and interpreting data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Include the following, other duties assigned

• Use a variety of tools to fabricate items of need on the production floor, examples of tools that would be used are a chop saw and other power tools.
• Verifies conformance of work piece to specifications, using square, ruler, and measuring tape.
• Capable Of analyzing data as well as observing plant activities to identify problem issues.
• Must be able to read and understand work instructions
• Must be proficient in math and reading skills
• Clear understanding Of Plant Metrics and Objectives.
• Basic understanding of Production and Material Delivery Process' s.
• Capable of utilizing or learning to utilize tools such as Time Studies, Yamazumi Charts and 5 Why Analysis to pinpoint problems.
• Ability to work well with Department Leadership to understand the desired improvement activity.
• Excellent communication skills between Production floor and related Departments.
