Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions is seeking a Lead Operator for our Caldwell, ID plant. You will work with the foreman to align production schedules, train staff, enforce safety, and drive quality across all products.

The role requires leadership experience, strong organizational and math skills, and the ability to communicate with management. We offer development opportunities and a team-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Good organizational and math skills.
• 1–2 years of lead/supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with foreman to ensure everyone is aware of production schedules.
• Maintain open communication with employees and managers.
• Train new employees on various jobs.
• Discuss daily production with Lead, Production Planner, or Plant Manager.
• Enforce safety and work rules.
• Ensure quality specifications are met on all products produced.
• Keep work areas clean daily.
• Apply Lean principles: 5S, TPM, and Quick Changeover to reduce downtime.
• Ensure corrective actions on all non-conformances per audits and monthly leadership reviews.
• Other duties assigned.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with foreman to make certain everyone is aware of production schedules.
• Keep communication open with employees and managers.
• Trains new employees on various jobs.
• Discuss daily production with Lead, Production Planner, or Plant Manager.
• Enforce safety and work rules.
• Ensure quality specifications are being met on ALL product produced
• Ensure that work areas are kept clean daily
• Ensure Lean principles are being utilized; 5S, TPM, & Quick Changeover are used to eliminate downtime.
• Ensure corrective action takes place on all non-conformances in accordance with Pre/Post Shift Audits as well as Monthly Leadership Audits.
• Other duties assigned.
