Base pay range

$110,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr

The Head of Operations Engineering at our aseptic beverage manufacturing facility plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless engineering operations across the organization. This position fosters collaboration, drives continuous improvement, and maintains operational excellence across all plant systems. The role also involves leading plant renovations, improvement projects, and facility expansions while supporting production schedules and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead planning, development, and implementation of efficient and cost-effective engineering processes.
• Monitor and report KPIs to drive performance improvements aligned with organizational goals.
• Oversee CapEx, training, and consulting budgets.
• Maintain control over Engineering Drawings, design processes, and equipment specifications.
• Oversee CMMS (Upkeep) for tracking work orders, contractor activities, and maintenance events.
• Manage vendor relationships and review new technology developments.
• Oversee new equipment contracts ensuring accurate scope and execution.
• Allocate tasks and resources effectively across the team.
• Integrate work schedules with Production and Technical Integration.
• Plan and execute training, cross-training, and staff development.
• Support EH&S safety protocols including LOTO and shutdown/start-up signoffs.
• Manage all engineering projects with accurate scheduling and interdepartmental coordination.
• Evaluate and improve manufacturing cost-efficiency and technology integration.
• Enforce and communicate engineering policies and operational standards.
• Uphold all Food Safety and SQF requirements.
  
  

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Direct the Engineering department's strategy and daily operations.
• Recruit, hire, and mentor engineering staff.
• Assign projects and delegate work based on skill and availability.
  
  

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical) required.
• MBA preferred.
  
  

Experience & Skills

• 10+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing.
• 5-7 years leading capital projects and managing engineering budgets.
• Experience in FDA/PMO requirements and GMP within the food industry preferred.
• Aseptic beverage manufacturing experience highly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, ERP/CRM systems, and MES systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient in process mapping and production scheduling around downtimes.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods.
• Lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
• Work with equipment involving electromagnetic components.
