Beyond SOF is seeking a Lead Operational Technology Engineer to lead a small team onsite near Fort Meade, MD. The role requires strong OT and cybersecurity background, with hands-on technical analysis, project leadership, and customer coordination to meet schedules and deliverables.

The candidate will manage deployments in Windows/Linux OT environments, coordinate with customers and partners, and mentor engineers. On-site work with limited remote options is expected.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI w/ FS Poly clearance.
• Security+ CE or DoD 8570 IAT Level II+ certification.
• 10+ years of experience with Operational Technologies (OT).
• Small project management or team leadership experience.
• Background in Cybersecurity, Systems, and/or Network Administration or Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Manage project schedules, deliverables, and team tasks.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for the team and customer communications.
• Facilitate technical planning by leading discussions and analyzing network diagrams, specs, and configurations.
• Support installation and configuration tasks for virtual appliances, VMs, and infrastructure components as needed.
• Must communicate accurate information.

Lead Operational Technology (OT) Engineer

• Fort George G Meade, MD

Overview

We are seeking to hire Lead Operational Technology (OT) Engineer for an on‑site opportunity supporting a contract near Ft. Meade, MD to lead a small team of highly technical engineers. The Lead Engineer will provide hands‑on technical analysis and administration along with program management, mentoring, and leadership. Additionally,the engineer will work with the customer, teammates, and partners to ensure project deliverables, schedules, and tasks meet schedules and expectations. Work will be performed primarily on‑site in industrial environments with limited telecommute/remote options possible.

Responsibilities

• Manage project schedules, deliverables, and team tasks.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for the team and customer communications.
• Facilitate technical planning by leading technical discussions and analyzing network diagrams, technical specifications, and configuration procedures.
• Functionally support team analysis, advisement, installation and configuration tasks for virtual appliances, virtual machines, and infrastructure components as needed.
• Must have the ability to communicate accurate information

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Active TS/SCI w/ FS Poly
• Security + CE or DoD 8570 certification at IAT - Level II or higher
• 10+ years of experience with Operational Technologies (OT)
• Small project management or team leadership experience.
• Background in Cybersecurity, Systems, and/or Network Administration or Engineering.

Desired skills:

• DOD and/or Intelligence Community IT/OT experience
• Training and/or certification in Operational Technology (OT) from a nationally recognized organization.
• Experience with cybersecurity tools such as ACAS, Tenable Nessus, Forescout, Qualys, Tanium, etc.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-50, 800-37, 800-82, and industry standard control systems best practices.
• Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), ISA Certified Control System Technician (CCST), or relevant OT certification through a nationally recognized organization
• Additional Technical Training and Certifications.
