Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated seeks a Lead Operating Engineer for our St. Louis site. You will lead and supervise a small team, maintain mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, and manage preventative maintenance programs in a class A office/life science building.

The role requires 3–5 years of related experience, strong customer service, and proficiency with MS Office. On-site, day shift with on-call responsibilities; safety and training are integral parts of the job.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Life-science/lab or medical office setting experience preferred.
• Trade school education or college desirable.
• EPA Universal CFC certification or plan to achieve within first year with employer support.
• Leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use ladders up to 30 ft.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Assist in supervising and implementing the preventative maintenance program.
• Maintain CMMS work order system and respond to tenant service requests.
• Provide training and supervision to expand the engineering team's capabilities.
• Support on-call or emergency response situations.
• Troubleshoot building systems including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in ongoing training.
