Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Lead Operating Engineer to oversee the operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems while supporting the Chief Engineer. The role requires 3–5 years of related experience, trade-school or equivalent, EPA certification and strong safety and customer-service skills.

On-site Monday–Friday with on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Trade school, union training or college desirable.
• Universal EPA certification or plan to achieve within first year with JLL assistance.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work with ladders up to 30 feet.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Assist Chief Engineer with directing the team as needed.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as painting, cleaning and minor repairs.
• Maintain the work order system (CMMS) and respond to tenant service requests.
• Support on-call or emergency response and ensure safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot building systems including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls.

This role may include assisting the Chief Engineer with providing direction to the team.**Responsibilities*** Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, pressure washing cleaning, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts (as allowed by licensing requirements), plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, hanging pictures, (remove) repair office furniture, locksmith work and general maintenance* Assist implementing the preventative maintenance program* Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requests* Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested* Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable)* Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls* Comply with all safety procedures* Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs* Other projects and tasks to be assigned**Required Qualifications*** 3-5 years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or (and) carpentry* Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable* Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance)* Leadership/supervisory experience* Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs* Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall* Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive* Strong customer service skills* Valid Driver license* Monday To Friday with a rotating on-call scheduleThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
