JLL in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Lead Operating Engineer to support on-site maintenance, oversee tasks across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and more, ensuring reliable operations.

The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, supervision of staff, safety training, and on-call responsiveness; on-site presence required.

Formación

• 3–5 years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Trade school education, union training, military service or college desirable.
• Universal CFC EPA certification or intent to obtain within first year (with JLL assistance).
• Leadership/supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; climb ladders up to 30 ft; frequent bending/kneeling/lifting.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsabilidades

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks across trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
• Assist in supervising the preventative maintenance program.
• Maintain the CMMS and process tenant service requests.
• Assist in training/supervision to grow Engineering team capabilities.
• Support on-call or emergency response situations as needed.
• Troubleshoot building systems (electrical, DDC, pneumatic controls) and ensure safety procedures.

Lead Operating Engineer

What this job involves:

Develop your engineering career at JLL!

Schedule:

7am-4pm Monday through Friday + rotating on-call

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts, plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance (as allowed by licensing requirements)
• Assist in supervising and implementing the preventative maintenance program
• Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requests
• Assist in providing training and supervision aimed at expanding the capabilities of Engineering team
• Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable)
• Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls
• Comply with all safety procedures
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
• Other projects and tasks to be assigned

Required qualifications:

• 3-5 years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry
• Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable

• Leadership/supervisory experience
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall
• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive
• Strong customer service skills
