Qualifications

• BSN required.
• 3 years oncology or surgical nursing experience.
• Connecticut RN License.
• Oncology Nursing Society certification (OCN, AOCN) and chemo‑biotherapy certification highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Program Coordination and Support: reviews daily schedule, ensures staffing and workload balance, reports staffing concerns.
• Clinical Practice: Patient/Family Assessment: completes initial nursing assessment and collects Level II data for new patients.
• Clinical Practice: Direct Care Delivery and Care Coordination: participates in patient/family treatment planning meetings with MD as requested.
• Clinical Practice: Patient/Family Education: develops education plan based on assessment findings and patient needs.
• Professional Development: sets and strives to meet annual professional development goals.
