Job summary

Inova Peterson Life with Cancer Center in Virginia seeks a Manager of Oncology Navigation and Counseling to lead the adult psychosocial behavioral health team across inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and a dedicated counseling center, serving Fairfax locations.

The role emphasizes developing care standards, program leadership, budgeting, and multidisciplinary collaboration to improve patient and family outcomes while supporting ongoing patient care and research.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressive nursing and/or social work and/or supervisory experience with oncology patients.
• Experience coordinating community health programs and understanding of community healthcare systems, data analysis methods, and clinical research.
• Certification in area of specialty within specified timeframe, if required.
• LPC, LCSW or RN license in Virginia (eligible).

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the adult psychosocial behavioral health team across inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and counseling centers.
• Develop and manage standards, guidelines, and protocols for cancer care needs of patients and families.
• Develop and manage Life with Cancer's Oncology Navigation/Counseling programs and team members.
• Oversee care delivery alignment with system-wide improvements to enhance outcomes; engage in patient care and research.
• Manage staff through daily supervision and staff development; monitor budgets and program performance.
