TEGNA Inc.'s KWES-TV Midland-Odessa NBC affiliate in Midland-Odessa is seeking a creative Anchor who excels at accountability reporting and breaking news to serve our local audience. The anchor will help develop engaging newscasts, work with producers, and be a newsroom leader.

We want an excellent on-air communicator with the ability to craft compelling stories and to use social media to surface big stories across platforms. A journalism degree and 1–3 years of experience are preferred.

Qualificações

• Journalism or Communications degree preferred.
• Minimum 1–3 years of news anchor/reporting experience.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop content for TV, mobile, and social platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Determine content of newscasts using editorial judgment.
• Create unique, fast-paced newscasts with the team.
• Use social media to highlight big stories.
• Write and post daily on all digital platforms.
