Bronx Health Center and Foster Care Services (910 East 172nd St)


$62,400 - $63,000 / year


Position Summary: Under the direction of the Program Supervisor or Director, provide behavioral health services for children/adolescents and their families using various modalities including individual and family therapy. These functions are performed under general supervision, necessitating the ability to exercise independent and sound judgment.


This role requires travel (Bronx and Manhattan) and providing home and community-based services. Flexible schedule required.


Essential Duties:



  • Understand and promote the organization's Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.

  • Participate in case consultations and trainings.



    • Monitors productivity of staff.

    • Use and identify best practices to build a culture of quality and continuous improvement

    • Comply with all privacy laws including HIPAA, etc.





  • Complete a clinical assessment to establish a treatment plan for the child/youth and family.

  • Provide individual, family and group therapy to a caseload of 8-10 families.

  • Provide crisis intervention (by phone or in person)

  • Complete all assessments and progress notes in a timely manner.

  • Submit billing encounter forms in a timely manner.

  • Provide supervision to 3-5 Behavioral Health Support Workers.

  • Monitor timelines and goals to ensure positive outcomes

  • Use and identify best practices to build a culture of quality and continuous improvement

  • Communicate progress and challenges to all staff and stakeholders

  • Provide supervisory coverage in absence of Program Supervisor.



  • Perform other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.



Key Competencies:



  • Experience with home/community-based services.

  • Experience using evidence-based models preferred.

  • Ability to work effectively with families, professionals and other personnel from a wide range of cultural, social and economic backgrounds.

  • Knowledgeable about trauma and violence and the effects it has on children and families.

  • Ability to work independently.
